Here’s an interesting fact that I’ve read about some time ago now in one of the fitness mags, apparently if you want to boost your muscle glycogen levels by up to 70 more than you would just by eating carbohydrates after your workout, have a strong cup of coffee after your carb meal or shake. Interesting combo hey? Imagine washing down your wholemeal pasta meal with a cup of coffee. There’s just something wrong with that LOL. But apparently it does help.
I’ve heard before that coffee can improve overall performance, and due to its nature, you can see how it would boost your energy levels prior to your workout, I’ve just never thought to be taking it after a workout.
