I am looking for a personal trainer, but I am quite picky. I want to make sure that the trainer is competent enough. I need to bulk up because I'm too skinny. I fired my previous trainer because we just did not get along in the long run, she was very unprofessional...

Maybe you guys would know of someone who I can talk to? I'm at the end of my rope.

Thanks.

You can talk to me. But first of all, what location are you in?

Hi Lisa:

I am currently enrolled with a mobile studio called Fitness Crew. You could try them. I live in Brisbane and pay less than $80 a session and get to bring my sister for free.

What I like about them is that they don't really bark at you and they don't hurry you up. That's why they charge by the session and not by the hour. My routine, my trainer told me could be well done in an hour, but we usually take 5 minute breaks in between (frequent five minture breaks!)

What's more they bring whatever equipment you need to wherever you want to work out, so say you want to work out at home, or at the office, it's not a problem.

Mandy:

That sounds great. However, I did indicate that I was very choosy and I meant that. I hope they have good trainers there. How do I contact them?

Hi Lisa:

One of their perks was that your first session is free so you could gauge your personal trainer. I just don't know if they still have that now.

I don't currently have their contact details, except for my trainer's mobile. you can google their site though.

hi Mandy

Thanks, I found their site at http://www.fitnesscrew.com.au/, and I'm very interested. Thanks for this great lead.

Hi Lisa.

I am in NSW, so I could not help you in person. However I can offer online training with programs and nutrition for a cheap price. Usually my face to face training is 50 per session but as this would not be face to face it would be considerably cheaper.

Let me know if you're interested and I could fax you my registration and insurance plus my certifications.

Adam.

Hi Adam:

I'm sorry, your f2f is a bargain, but owing to the location...

it's just that i need a personal trainer as in somebody i could workout with, call it an authoritative workout buddy... more than anything else :(

And also, I have just signed up for a free first run with Fitness Crew, they had good packages, but were more expensive than you. If you ever decide to come to brisbane, please look me up, if things don't go well with FC, well you know...

Hi Lisa:

I am not sure if they are more expensive, but for me, it's worth every cent i spend :) To be honest, I have been with them for only weeks, yet I've seen a lot of improvement. What's more unlike being in a gym, these guys really know how to pep you up, so you don't lose motivation along the way.

The exercises and the sessions we do are creative too. What I find really amazing about these guys is that when I do my session, my trainer do not exactly look at her watch, but instead lets me finish on my own time. Once I had a session that lasted 30 minutes more, and I didn't have to pay overtime.

Basically am happy with that. Results, friendly trainers, motivation is there.

so it's really worth everything you pay.

Octagen sound quite good they are in the Valley. They use kettlebells which are a great way to train. If you are looking at a great results producing workout, I would seriously have a look at kettlebell training. Ben Minos at Octagen is a Physio and as far as I know he is one of the only qualified Kettlebell intructors in Queensland. If you are looking at a quick and results producing workout I would seriously give Kettlebells a try.:)
