I am experiencing pretty painful back problems when I am doing my weights routine... I am 17 and do casual weightlifting to maintain strength and fitness level as I do not do sports. I do about 30 minutes of set weight routine every 2 or so days and never miss more than 5 days.
I have been getting a pretty sore lower back, right in the centre, for the last couple of months or so and I don't know what caused it. It sort of came on all of a sudden one week and hasn't gone away. It hurts when I straighten up from bending over after lifting something and used to hurt when I lie down.

Does anyone know if continuing my routines will worsen the problem? Should I stop all together and see a doctor about it?

Yes stop ad see a doctor, you are still young and your body is developing. I hurt my lower back when I was 18 and still feel the muscle spasm pains today, and I am 39 now.

Hey buddy you should consult to a doctor and get properly cured and make a complete check up.... I think that you should have the heavy workout and now you need some medication along with rest.....
